The London-based business telecoms firm Colt Telecom will focus on expansion in the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, company head Steve Akin announced.

Colt Telecom expects turnover to rise 7-8% this year, largely due to the company's expansion into Eastern Europe through its subsidiary in Vienna.

The company's turnover rose to GBP 1.16 billion from GBP 1.03 billion in 2002.

Colt Telecom is active in 32 cities in 12 countries.
