In the first referendum in the Czech Republic’s history, 77.33 percent of Czechs supported EU accession and 22.67 percent opposed it.
The voter turnout over Friday and Saturday reached 55.2 percent.
Altogether, 3,446,758 voters said yes to EU entry, whereas 1,010,448 voters said no.
The highest support, of over 80 percent, was recorded in the Zlin region and in Prague, while the Liberec region showed the lowest support of 74 percent.
