Serbian Deputy PM Seeks To Clear Name Of Privatisation Scheme Accusations

In an attempt to clear his name of accusations, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Cedomir Jovanovic handed over documents about the process of privatisation to the headquarters of G17 Plus. The handover was well publicised with lots of journalists present.

Earlier in the week, G17 Plus deputy head and former central bank governor Mladjan Dinkic said he has information that proves links between the cabinet and organised crime.

Part of the accusations particularly pointed at Jovanovic as one of the people allegedly giving insider information to Zemun clan leaders regarding future privatisation offerings.

Handing over the documents, Jovanovic said that if his name is present in any relation to shady deals he is willing to bear the political responsibility.
