CSSD ahead in polls

The ruling Social Democratic Party (CSSD) would win the June elections with 24% of the vote by a narrow margin ahead of the Civic Democratic Party (ODS) with the support of 22%, if they were held at the beginning of May, according to a poll carried out by the CVVM polling agency.

According to a poll carried out by the TNS Factum polling agency, the CSSD would win parliamentary elections with 26.9% of the vote if they were held now, and the ODS would come second with the support of 25.6%. However, according to SEV's April poll, the ODS would win the elections by a narrow margin ahead of the CSSD. The opposition two-party Coalition would get 14.55, and the Communists 12.5%. The CVVM poll predicts a turnout of 70%.
